More about Mwanza City:-
Our home Mwanza is the most important port city on Lake Victoria and terminal branch of the central railway line from Dar es Salaam. It is the second largest city in Tanzania after Dar es Salaam.
It is a scenic town on the shores of the lake whose surrounding countryside is littered with large granite kopjes or outcrops, perched precariously on top of each other.
However Mwanza City is in enriched with peculiar natural and social tourism resorces which always satisfies the needs of vistors. Its also a good site in which Lake Victoria can be clealy viewed.
Mwanza Region occupies a total of 35,187 km2., out of this area 20,095 km2. is dry land and 15,092 km2. is covered by Lake Victoria. Thus 43% of the region’s surface area is covered by water.
Mwanza is the home of the Sukuma people, the largest of the ethnic groups of Tanzania, However mwanza itself is a mixture of African, Arabic, Asian and other western influence...........................................
